Terms & Conditions
These starter Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using Just Do It! (JDI), including the website, Windows desktop app, installers, and related services. Please review this draft with qualified legal counsel before relying on it.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using JDI, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and acknowledge the JDI Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use JDI.
2. What JDI provides
JDI is a Windows desktop productivity and task management app designed to support self-discipline through structured tasks, countdown timers, an AI Instructor, local model options, feedback tools, and progress indicators such as streaks and discipline scores.
JDI is a productivity tool, not professional, medical, psychological, financial, legal, academic, or safety-critical advice. You are responsible for your decisions, schedules, data, and outcomes.
3. Accounts and credentials
Some features may require an account, email verification, Google sign-in, or other credentials. You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. AI and third-party services
JDI may integrate with third-party services such as Google Gemini, Ollama, email providers, hosting providers, download hosts, and authentication providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You should review AI-generated plans, messages, transcripts, and recommendations before acting on them.
5. Your content and data
You retain responsibility for tasks, notes, prompts, screenshots, audio, profile details, feedback, and other content you provide to JDI. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content and to allow JDI to process it to provide the app and related services.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse JDI, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt services, reverse engineer protected components except where allowed by law, submit unlawful or harmful content, infringe others' rights, abuse AI or communication features, or use JDI for safety-critical decisions.
7. Downloads, installation, and updates
You should download JDI only from official links provided by the JDI website, repository, or approved distribution channels. You are responsible for verifying compatibility, maintaining your Windows environment, and backing up important data before installing, updating, or uninstalling software.
8. Intellectual property
JDI, including its app design, website, branding, source code, and documentation, is owned by its respective maintainers or licensors. Open-source components remain subject to their own license terms.
9. Disclaimers
JDI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, particular productivity outcomes, AI accuracy, compatibility with every device, or continued availability of any feature.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JDI maintainers and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or productivity arising from your use of JDI.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to accounts or services if you violate these terms, create risk, or misuse JDI. You may stop using JDI at any time and uninstall the app from your device.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of JDI after updates means you accept the revised terms.
13. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the JDI maintainer through the project repository or the support/contact channel provided with the app.
